St Ives Story Part IV
Chateau are the master builders you call when you want to design for a life with style as well as comfort for your family. We continue delving into the unique finishes, creative touches and finer details of our St Ives Custom Home. For this final post of the series, we are covering the finished product and the handover of the keys to our client!
As you walk in through that special front door, you are overwhelmed by
the class and beauty of the stunning staircase before your eyes. The
staircase itself features curved concrete with polished Spotted Gum
timber treads and handrails – and who could miss that chandelier!
Finishes that work. We absolutely love this joinery work with the
feature wine cabinet (below). The intricacy and detail really is second
to none! The window to the right is a view of the fully climate
controlled wine cellar so you can make the choice of your perfect dinner
paired beverage easier than ever before.
Below is the finished kitchen which really opens up the common areas of
the home in a stunning, clean fashion. What we really enjoy about this
kitchen is the contrast between the natural Spotted Gum floors with the
clean white of the cabinets, walls and ceiling. It really does match the
same theme of the staircase as you first enter this bespoke home.
You can see the level of detail our contractors work to in the bathroom
below. This is the master bedroom ensuite which includes glass mosaic
tiles, a complete frameless shower screen and a ceiling mounted shower
head. Our clients not only love the contrast between the darker mosaic
tiles and the lighter tones of the vanity and floor, they also enjoy the
heated towel racks and heated flooring underneath their feet as they
step out of the shower on a cold winters day or night.
With a custom designed cinema room, the residents of the home can unwind
as a family in their own private space. A great idea for any luxury
home, whether you’re watching a movie with your children or having
friends over to watch the Wallabies play – we all agree that having your
own private movie theatre is certainly unique and refreshing!
The ceiling and bulkheads have been painted a particularly dark colour
while the projection wall consists of fabric panelling to make it feel
like a genuine cinema.
As we journey to the backyard, we look back at the open plan living area
which has been designed to maximise space. To the left of the image
below you can see glass windows. These provide a kitchen servery area in
which they can slide across to open up the kitchen directly into the
entertaining area bringing the outside in and the inside out on that
perfect sunny day. To maximise natural light, our client decided to
have a "vergola"
feature above which can be opened up by the flick of a switch to allow
that stunning sunlight to flood through when you feel like it, or to
provide a large shaded area when required. This flexibility is just one
of the many benefits of having Chateau build your master built home here

The picture below is a perfect example of our level of craftsmanship and
skill our contractors employ. This classy cabana area includes an
outdoor seating space which overlooks the stunning feature of the
backyard – the pool! With special lighting throughout, it can be used as
an entertaining space during those warmer summer nights.
And that’s that - another custom home in Sydney’s North Shore complete.
We still speak with our clients after handover to make sure they feel
comfortable in their dream home and that there is nothing that they are
