Chateau Architects + Builders, 2013 winner of the NSW Master Builders Association’s Excellence in Housing Awards... ‘Best Design and Construct House in NSW, $1M-2M’ Conceived out of the client’s brief for a house that reflected a European modernist architecture, this substantially glazed and cedar-clad home at Wahroonga has become an inclusive, open and inviting hub for a maturing family with four children, their partners and friends. The open layout invites the surrounding landscape into the home through north and east facing glass doors. When opened, the walls appear to dissolve and the upper level two hover above. The hub of the home is a central void dominated by a 2 storey joinery element projecting through to the upper level. This space is lit from above by four skylights arranged to create a striking geometric form in the ceiling and to allow a dramatic play of light, space and form to the areas below. Engaging a company to design and build your home should never just be a decision of best price, but rather a decision of best value. Chateau Architect + Builders has been creating bespoke individual homes for over 43 years and believe an original home solution is key to optimising the value of a family’s most enduring asset. Their early site consultation service will explain the opportunities and likely costs associated with development of your property or one you may be considering for purchase. With an in-house team of professionals including architects, designers, cost consultants and builders, the design efficiency, build-ability and affordability of every project can be determined early, allowing a fixed price construction tender to be locked in at design sketch stage, before DA submission. Each tender is inclusive of architectural services, standard consultant’s reports, engineering fees, Council fees, liaison and administrative fees and so on, for total peace of mind and a single point of contact for advice, service and accountability. Whether owner or architect, Chateau also offers fixed price construction tenders for externally produced designs, assessing buildability and structural efficiency as early as sketch design stage, to safeguard against unexpected cost overruns and to offer early price certainty.
